Get ready for the week like your cat would.

Sunday evening is officially the calm before the claw, that eerie silence where the only sound is your cat judging your life choices from atop the fridge. Meowntally preparing for Monday requires a very specific, feline-inspired strategy: if you simply close your eyes and pretend the sun isn't rising, the emails can't find you. We are taking a leaf out of the purrfessional handbook and deciding that productivity is a myth invented by people who don't own heated blankets.

Being a cat pawparent means accepting that your Meownday motivation is currently trapped under a sleeping kitty who has decided your lap is a permanent residence. Whether you're channeling the hissterical energy of a kitten discovering a cucumber or the claws-out cattitude of a senior cat denied a second breakfast, it's time to furtify your spirit. Let's face the coming week with the unearned confidence of a creature that knocks expensive vases over just to hear the thud. Stay pawsitive!

Three cheers for the four-legged hero of our story, Goose!

It makes us sad that people resort to abandonment when they can't deal with their pets, instead of choosing many of the responsible courses of action that are purrfectly pawssible. You could make a post on Facebook, seeing if anyone wants to adopt them, or even give them to an animal shelter so that they have a chance of finding a new family and being adopted again. What you absolutely should not do, is put all four of your unwanted cats in a pink cage, zip tie it shut so they can't get out, and then abandon that cage in the forest.

While on a hike with his mom, Goose, the golden retriever, alerted his mom to something strange off the trail. He led her to the bottom of a ditch, where she found the metal cage that housed our four soon-to-be rescue cats: Ginger, Sporty, Baby, and Posh (we hope you appreciate their names as much as we do). With no way to get out, these cats would have been in big trouble if it hadn't been for Goose and his purrfectly astute nose!

After giving them some food, Daisy, Goose's mom, contacted animal control, which transported the kitties to a nearby shelter for treatment. With two of them being Siamese cats, we're sure that they'll be adopted into a family that loves them in no time.

Every slow Saturday deserves a few good cat memes.

Some Saturdays move at a slower pace. The to-do list can wait, the day is wide open, and the internet becomes a place to wander for a bit. That's where these feel good cat memes come in.

Cats bring a certain energy to the timeline. They live however they want, whenever they want. One minute they're completely still, the next they're darting across the room like they remembered something important. They stretch, they stare, they claim the warmest seat in the house like it was reserved for them all along.

Cat life is full of those little moments that people recognize right away. The cattitude, the curiosity, the quiet confidence of an animal that knows the whole place belongs to it. Even when they're doing absolutely nothing, they somehow make it entertaining.

These feel good cat memes collect that everyday cat energy in one place. A little bit cozy, a little bit chaotic, and very on brand for the tiny creatures that run the internet.

Sometimes all it takes is a handful of cats doing their thing to make the day feel a little lighter.

Some strays are just waiting for someone to notice how loving they really are.

This sweet boy was originally found outside with no one claiming him, even though he was far too friendly and affectionate to have lived his whole life as a stray. His past is a bit of a mystery. Whoever had him before clearly missed out on an incredible cat. At first, the plan was to follow the usual TNR process, which is why he has the clipped ear. But once people spent a little time with him, it quickly became clear that this cat was not meant to return to life on the streets. He was simply too gentle and loving.

He settled in beautifully at home and what really stood out was his personality. This is the kind of cat who seems to have an endless supply of affection. He loves being snuggled and pet, happily soaking up attention whenever it's offered.

He even has some charming dog-like habits. His tail wags when he's excited, and he loves pressing his forehead against his person's forehead or gently touching noses like a little greeting. On top of that, he's clever too. With a bit of clicker training, he's already proving to be a quick learner.

His past may always remain a mystery, but one thing is certain. This sweet, affectionate boy now has a future full of warmth, safety, and the love he clearly deserves.

Black cats aren't evil, and we can prove it!

They really don't deserve the slack they get. It's 2026 and it's safe to say stereotypes are all hobble gobble. The notions of medieval times when people would live until 13-years-old because they drank dirty water won't persist until today. We don't have to listen to ancient and outdated ideas about life, love, or black cats. They're associated with dark magic, but if you're anyone who's ever known a black cat, they're just the cutest, sweetest things.

Black cats have long been enmeshed in mystery, beauty, and a surprising amount of superstition. Their sleek dark coats make people afraid, but there's really nothing to be afraid of. They might seem like creatures pulled straight out of folklore, but they're really grounded and actually have a good omen about them. For centuries, black cats have been both feared and adored. In parts of medieval Europe, they were unfairly associated with witchcraft and bad luck, which led to many myths that still linger today. However, in other cultures, black cats were considered symbols of protection and good fortune. Sailors sometimes kept them on ships, believing they would bring safe voyages. In parts of the United Kingdom and Japan, spotting a black cat can even be seen as a sign of luck.

Who needs therapy when you can heal yourself with cat memes?

Some days just feel heavier than others. Maybe it's a work thing, relationship struggle, friendships going downhill, feeling insecure in yourself, or something existential that you just can't put your finger on. Your to-do list is longer than normal, or you just woke up with a wistful feeling that seems to hover in the background of your life. On days like that it rarely helps to contrive happiness. What you really need is something small, gentle, comforting, and in the form of cat. Like a warm drink from your favorite mug, or a soft blanket wrapped around you, a scroll through these indulgent cat memes will surely make you feel better.

Cats have an almost magical ability to soothe the soul. Perhaps it's their soft fur, their slow blinks, or the way they curl up into impossibly cozy shapes that make them look like living loaves of bread. Even in meme form, they radiate a kind of calm absurdity amongst the absolute chaos of life. One moment you're staring at a tiny kitten dramatically screaming at absolutely nothing, and the next you're looking at a very round cat who has decided that a shoebox is the most luxurious throne imaginable.

There's something indulgent about giving yourself permission to enjoy these small moments of humor. Cat memes don't judge you, they don't expect anything, and they'll never hurt you. You don't have to think deeply, analyze complicated plots, or keep up with stressful news. You just look, smile, and maybe let out a quiet laugh when a particularly dramatic feline appears with a caption that perfectly matches your mood. So curl up in bed, finish your nighttime rituals of skin care, ordering food delivery, and candles lit in your humble apartment and simply enjoy the little things.

If you thought that your kitten would be safe while within a radius of a few feet from you, then this story will unfortunately change your mind. Thankfully this pawrent did not stand for it, and pulled off a triumphant rescue.

It is a harrowing way to begin our story, but that is the way of some cat stories, they start with tragedy and come to a close with comfort and cuddles. Some might say it is due to the nature of cats, they have no middle ground, it is dark or light, happy or sad. But whatever the reason their stories end up being so serious they do make for some high intensity reading that is for sure.

And so we are proud to present you with the story of a cat dad who has a complicated familial connection to cats, a bond that very few of us could ever understand, who is faced with the theft of his very own kitten. But being so connected to cats, his approach to bringing his fur baby home was one that did not take any handouts, it was one fueled by rage and the intense need to bring his cat home in only the way a dad can.

Caturday has officially made its grand entrance, marked by the intense stare your cat gives you from inside the cardboard box because you're still home.

We've successfully survived the workweek blep and transitioned into the golden era of the weekend. This is the sacred time when the "if I fits, I sits" philosophy becomes our collective north star, and the only deadline we recognize is the one set by a hungry kitty at 4:00 AM.

Stepping into this feline-fueled sanctuary weekend means checking your productivity at the door and embracing your inner floof. Whether you're currently a liquid cat melting off the sofa or a high-energy hunter stalking a single red dot, it's all about honoring the nap time and the slow-blinks chill. We aren't just lounging - we are masterfully practicing the art of the loaf. Mute the notifications, fluff the pillows, and let the meowrale boosting energy of a thousand purrs carry you through. It's time to celebrate in true cattitudinous style. No thoughts, just chill.

Despite being our fluffy overlords for millennia, cats never cease to surprise us.

There's always something new to learn about cats, even though we have served them as the kings and queens of our domestic kingdoms for so long. Seriously, what more did you think you could learn about cats that will surprise you? Well, surprisingly, a lot! Have you ever wondered why cats aren't afraid of heights? Because there's a meowsterious answer there. Or, for instance, did you even think of why cats stare at us so intently? Even here, there's something to learn, even for veteran cat pawrents. And what about cats' eyes, and how special they can get? There's really no shortage of information these creatures hide from us.

And what about this kitten over here, with the most peculiar fur patterns we've seen lately? Well, his pawrent wondered exactly that - and just as any other cat question someone might have, the online cat community is up and ready, wholesomely answering and researching, giving pawrents fascinating answers.

Is your cat a liquid or a solid today?

There may be over 300 types of dog breeds, but cats come in many different forms as well. Long bois, munchkins, Maine coons, Norweigan forest cats, abyssinians, short hair, long hair, hairless, polydactyl, purrmanently grumpy… we could go on, but we think you get the picture. But the most shocking feline form is when they change from solid to liquid.

In their liquid state, their normally solid bones turn into noodles, and this allows them to purrfectly fit into any shape of container. From vases to shoeboxes to plastic bags, even the noodliest of cats can fit in fishbowls. It's pawsitively mind-blowing to see. When your cat is in its liquid state, it will become even more flexible than before. In some cases, it will look like a blob of fluff with a face sticking out of it somewhere. You can pick them up and they will literally flop like a slinky. Not only is it purrfeclty hissterical, but it's also ameowzing how fast they can change from one state to the other.

If you've never experienced this feline phenomenon before, don't worry, it will happen at some point or another. The key is not to panic. Yes, your cat is okay. No, they don't need a chiropractor. Yes, this is the purrfect opportunity to pretend to play them like an accordion. No, this is not the right time to pet their bellies

You'll learn, slowly, what is best for your cats during their non-solid states, but one thing's for certain: they are literally liquid.

Kittens are naturally fearless, but being blind can change things. That's not the case for Anya and Isha, our two eyeless kittens below, who teach us that being brave isn't about seeing what's in front of you, it's about dealing with the unknown even if you can't see it.

Have you ever tried to walk around your house with your eyes closed to see if you could handle being blind? We have. Spoiler alert, it was very painful and resulted in a lot of bumps and bruises. It made us tentative and fearful. We walked like an old man, every bump surprising us as if we were walking on the edge of a cliff, every blunder an immediate retreat. But then again, we weren't born blind. We've relied on our nearly purrfect eyesight since birth, but Anya and Isha, the kittens below who were born without eyes, don't feel the same way.

They were adopted by a woman and her partner a few days ago, and their resilience and bravery has pawsitively astounded them. She said, "Honestly they get around really well and are adapting very quickly to their new environment. We just have to make sure we don't change our furniture and having a cat fountain helps with them being able to find their water easily." They even use each other as support when exploring new areas, which is the most heartwarming thing we've read all day.

We can't wait for more updates from these two, and if you can't either, be sure to check back here frequently as we are sure these two are going to be internet sensations in the making.

His name is Nermal, which is fitting, considering there is nothing normal about him.

Listen, we have been writing about cats for a long time here at ICHC. We have seen an endless number of cats online. And every time we see a new one, we think that we have seen all of them. How many unique cats can there be in this world? Apparently, there are more than we think. Because every time that we think we have seen it all, a new cat goes viral for something unexpected.

Just this week, we had two separate cats go viral for their unique appearance. We saw a black kitty with giant gray eyes that looks entirely like it was generated by AI. And we saw a beautiful kitty wth four ears and a curled tail who people also suspected wasn't real. And today, we come across another one. A kitten unlike any other kitten that we have ever seen before. A kitten whose owner even says that there might be some "alien DNA" running through her veins. We can safely say that we are flabbergasted by this one. We don't know what makes the cat look like this. The only thing that we do know is that we wouldn't have been able to resist adopting him either.

Another Caturday, another collection of purrfect cat meowments.

Another week has officially ended, and we cannot wait to get online and scroll through all the pawmazing cat content that we have missed. Except there's a problem. All of our favorite cat content is currently surrounded by drama, news and other things that we truly don't want to lay our eyes on right meow. We just want the cats. We want the goodness, the purrfection, the wholesomeness, silliness and purity of cats. And that is purrsicely what the weekly ICHC meowgazine is for.

We do the sifting for you. You don't need to go online and face the realities of the world right now. All you need to do is come right here. Here, at ICHC, we put together the most viral cat tweets that people couldn't stop talking about, the funniest cat memes that were widely shared even throughout all the madness, and the cutest, most wholesome cat stories that are much better reads than any news article right now. It's all right here, clean, simple and pure, for your enjoyment. So, take that moment, rest up, and enjoy reading online the things that you actually want to read through.

Cats have a special talent for looking at their humans like they've just uncovered something deeply embarrassing, like, say, your entire search history. One minute you're peacefully existing, and the next your cat is perched across the room, giving you a stare so judgmental it feels personal.

Maybe it's the slow blink of disappointment, the dramatic side-eye, or the way they turn their back on you like a tiny, furry aristocrat who expected better. Whatever it is, these cats have clearly seen enough, and they're not impressed. Scroll on for 21 judgy felines whose disapproving expressions make it seem like they know exactly what you've been up to online.

Apparently, cats can be guard dogs, too.

Many cat lovers think that kitties are just lackadaisical house gnomes with a sunny spot in the corner and a multi-bed cat tower in the living room, but cats can be so much more than sleepy babies. Cats aren't actually as lazy and adorable as we think they are, and as the courageous feline in this next story proves, cats can actually be incredibly effective guard animals.

Don't mess with a guard cat, because a flurry of mean beans might be the last thing you ever see.

Some grocery runs take an unexpected detour.

What was supposed to be a quick trip to pick up a few things from the store turned into a three-hour mystery. When the door finally opened, there were no grocery bags in sight. Instead, Mom walked in holding a tiny black kitten like this was the item she had meant to bring home all along.

On her way to the shop, she had spotted the little guy sitting alone by a fence. Rather than scooping him up immediately, she did the responsible thing and waited around to see if a mama cat might appear. She checked the bushes, looked around the area, and even asked nearby people just in case someone knew where he belonged. When no one showed up, she decided the kitten shouldn't be left out there alone.

Before heading home, she made one more stop at the vet to make sure everything was okay. The verdict was the best kind of news. No microchip, no injuries, no health problems. Just a very hungry kitten who happened to cross paths with the right person at the right moment.

So the grocery list may have gone completely ignored. No bread, no milk, no snacks. But the house gained something much better. A tiny blue-eyed black kitten curled up on the couch, safe, warm, and already acting like he owns the place. Some shopping trips just end with the best possible surprise.

Yes, cats look in the mirror when you're not home and they practice their purrs, their meows, and their mischief.

Cats didn't become to purrfect overnight. It's been millennia of them practicing how to be the cutest, most mischievous and deceptively pawdorable as they can possibly be. It's hard work to purrfect a meow! To target the purrfect lilt, the purrfect way to balance the juxtaposition between being cute and cuddly, but naughty and silly. They're working harder than we think. They look at the mirror like we do our affirmations for confidence and self love, but they do it for purrs and meows. They practice from the photos of puppies to copy their doggy eyes, so reach maximum cuteness.

When you're looking for something pawdorable to scroll without the difficulty of deciding what, cat memes are the purrfect excuse to lay in bed and ponder anything you can. A cat's passion isn't unlike our own. We love seeing our friends, good company, good food, and downtime at home after a long day. Cats love the same types of things! They love the freshest tuna, the best shows to binge with you, and to be around their friends and family (you). Cats love us more than we realize.

When a man has the empathy and compassion to see past his own situation to help a fellow creature, you know it's coming from the right place.

This man tells the story of his journey from homeless to homed. He used to be homeless with his family, and they were really down on their luck. Although they were homeless and in despair, they still took in a dumpster cat they found outside. They know what it's like to be abandoned, and couldn't let the cat go away without a home as well. Fast forward to now and the cat as well as his owner both have a home! Truly a shocking tale of how you can go from rags to riches, and with a cat beside you all the while.

A calm cat cannot be taken for granted, especially seeing as they spend most of their waking hours causing chaos. Which is why we captured the essence of that cat calm in this collection of really relaxed cats so that you can finish your week with a similar sort of peace in your heart.

After all, it has been a long and trying week, as they often are. And with the weekend coming up, it would be a crying shame to carry over the stresses and strains of the working week with you into the weekend. That is why we enlisted the support of the most powerful force of calm known to hoomankind, the calm cat. A true rarity amongst feline behavior, so much so that if you are ever lucky enough to cross the path of a truly calm cat you had better stop and show your gratitude for their docile demeanor or else face the consequences.

So we suggest using this list to learn to appreciate just how sweet and un-cat-like it is for our frenetic felines to be cool and calm and in doing so allow that soothing energy to wash over you and cleanse you of your work week woes.
